TY - JOUR T1 - AN atlas of normal developmental roentgen anatomy AU - YOUNG LW Y1 - 1979/01/01 N1 - 10.1001/archpedi.1979.02130010109031 JO - American Journal of Diseases of Children SP - 103 EP - 104 VL - 133 IS - 1 N2 - This Atlas of Normal Developmental Roentgen Anatomy is an effort by the authors to produce a reference to fill the void of "a proper mental set for what is normal for the given anatomic part under observation at a particular age for a particular sex." Its purpose is to provide normal standards for relative size, proportion, density, and configuration of the developing anatomy at various ages and for both sexes. The atlas presents normal roentgenograms at three-month intervals up to 2 years of age and then at yearly intervals to 25 years for each sex without reflecting the range of normal variation. There are 801 pages of roentgenographic pictures without explanatory text, in fact the only text is the preface. Labeling would seem appropriate for cholecystogram series (eg, 15 years:Male/511). In general, the quality of the roentgenographic prints is excellent and the positioning of the anatomic parts is satisfactory, SN - 0002-922X M3 - doi: 10.1001/archpedi.1979.02130010109031 UR - http://dx.doi.org/10.1001/archpedi.1979.02130010109031 ER -
