The cervical mass probably represented spread of the disease, perhaps along the same pathways followed in Hodgkin's disease and other conditions that are known to involve the anterior mediastinum and the anterior cervical nodes simultaneously. An infectious disease (histoplasmosis) can cause a constellation of symptoms suggestive of a lymphoma or other malignancy.(Am J Dis Child 133:47-49, 1979) SN - 0002-922X M3 - doi: 10.1001/archpedi.1979.02130010053009 UR - http://dx.doi.org/10.1001/archpedi.1979.02130010053009 ER -
