TY - JOUR T1 - SUpplemental breast milk is the best milk—reply AU - Tan KL Y1 - 1999/06/01 N1 - JO - Archives of Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine SP - 656 EP - 656 VL - 153 IS - 6 N2 - It is hard to understand Dr Hertz' impression about inadequate breast-feeding occurring even during phototherapy; breast milk intake in this group was obviously better than in the other 2 groups during exposure, as weight gain even with a 3-hourly regimen was the highest among the 3 groups. This could hardly be due to ineffective breast-feeding, but is rather proof that breast-feeding was successful. Indeed, the previous weight loss before exposure had been largely corrected during phototherapy. SN - 1072-4710 M3 - doi: UR - http://dx.doi.org/ ER -
