    President Hoover Calls Conference on Child Health.—It was announced, July 2, that President Hoover had decided to call a White House conference on the health and protection of children. The members will comprise representatives of the great voluntary associations and federal, state and municipal authorities interested. The conference will not be assembled for nine months or a year, but the first meeting of the planning committee was held in Washington, July 29. The President announced that a series of committees will be appointed from the leaders in national organizations.
