As little as 2.5 U given once weekly can result in catch-up growth.1 Raben2 established a dosage of 2 U three times per week regardless of body size as the standard that was used into the 1980s. In a series of reports the US Collaborative Study Group concluded that a dosage of 0.06 U/kg of body weight three times per week was appropriate. These and other studies were summarized by Frasier3 in a comprehensive review.
