The book is a high-quality publication with excellent photomicrographs and electron micrographic reproduction. Translation from Polish has been handled well and all in all it is an excellent publication.I do not believe the general pediatrician will find much here of particular interest or relevance in terms of his practice. However, it can be highly recommended to pediatric neurologists, geneticists, and others who have a special interest in this group of disorders.Dr Hausmanowa-Petrusewicz has herself made a number of contributions, particularly in the area of the electromyography of the spinal muscular atrophies, and this section is noteworthy for its high quality
