AB This book approaches pediatric radiology from the perspective of specific abnormal radiographic findings and their relationships to possible causes. The author intends that the book should bridge the massive gap between the large pediatric textbook and the pediatric gamut, and although it is a step in that direction, it will probably take several such books to accomplish that goal. Rabinowitz has had a "long-standing preference for" the field of pediatric radiology, but to my knowledge he does not primarily practice pediatric radiology, although at least one of the contributors does. The author and the contributors are to be commended for the unified effect achieved with the material and the concepts presented.With each radiographic finding, disease entities (differential diagnoses) are listed and disease mechanisms pertinent to the radiographic findings are offered. Though brief and not always proved, the mechanisms mentioned are more than adequate. Most of the radiographic pictures
