It addresses the entire spectrum of neoplasia in childhood and presents the subject in an extremely readable and logical manner for the physician, pediatrician, and specialist. It is a pleasure to read and it is replete with up-to-date information.The material is laid out in 22 chapters, richly illustrated with graphs, photographs, and tables. There is ample documentation by citations from the literature. The overall problem of cancer in childhood is first presented with epidemiologic and diagnostic considerations. This includes considerations of syndromes, relationship to anomalies, virus infection, chemical exposure, and antecedent radiation. Replication events and growth factors are considered dispassionately and diagnostic hints are given in lucid detail with consideration of the most modern techniques.
