AB As pediatricians become more aware of the health needs of teenagers, there is an ever increasing necessity for books comprehensively dealing with such specific topics as adolescent dermatology, nutrition, orthopedics, obstetrics and gynecology, as well as others. Recent attention has focused on venereal disease and teenage pregnancy and, thus, practitioners caring for adolescents must be knowledgeable in these areas. Kreutner and Hollingsworth have edited a book that provides a large array of facts dealing with adolescent obstetrics and gynecology and arrange them into a clearly-written, well-organized, multi-authored textbook.As noted in the preface, this book developed out of "a shared concern over the well-being of the pregnant adolescent." This, in fact, is the basic strength of this book—to discuss the many facets of the pregnant adolescent from a thorough point of view.
