AB ENURESIS represents a difficult and perplexing problem. As an entity by itself, it is often difficult to explain. When considered as a symptom of other disease, however, it may be more easily defined. Several studies have indicated that a high percentage of enuretics have abnormal electroencephalograms.1-8 Aird et al,9 in a retrospective study, reported that 46% of patients with temporal lobe epilepsy had nocturnal phenomena such as ensuresis.The purpose of this study was to investigate enuretics electroencephalographically as a first step in a prospective evaluation of enuresis as a very early manifestation of convulsive activity. In this way, baseline studies could be obtained and if any of the patients subsequently developed temporal lobe or other forms of epilepsy, comparisons would be readily available. Because of its age and the continuity of medical care and records over a prolonged period of time, the military population, including dependents, is
