In the editorial titled "Cost-effective Management of Sore Throat: It Depends on the Perspective" published in the July issue of the ARCHIVES (1999;153:672-674), reference 17 should have read, "Pichichero ME, Hoeger W, Marsocci SM, Lynd Murphy AM, Francis AB, Dragalin V.
