This book is primarily a discussion of the management of selected disorders of endocrine function in adults, although 2 chapters are specifically about endocrine problems in children (diabetes insipidus [DI] and the use of growth hormone [GH]); other chapters often mention pediatric endocrine diseases in a broader context. The book is organized by endocrine gland (pituitary, parathyroid, thyroid, adrenals, and gonads) and disease (4 chapters discuss aspects of diabetes mellitus).
