We would like to acknowledge the letter of Dr Strasburger. Indeed, Dr Strasburger highlights yet another important factor that may contribute to pediatric alcohol and drug use. The importance of the media in promoting as well as deterring substance abuse should not be underestimated. We thank Dr Strasburger for his comments.
