In this issue of the ARCHIVES, we read about a different storm: research articles that reveal more evidence of the power of electronic media exposure to breach the protections of our children's cognitive, social, behavioral, and physical health. Does ongoing exposure to media erode children's behaviors and attitudes enough to compare with an impending disaster? These and newer studies may reveal whether that is not an inappropriate hyperbole.
