AB For the speech exercises given in this manual, 5,091 frequency words were selected, and an analysis was made of their basic sounds. These words were arranged to introduce apperceptively only one new sound at a time. The words are presented in 100 sections which fall into nine major groups, each section including illustrative sentences.
