Of particular value is the discussion of the St. Louis type of encephalitis which occurred in 1933 and the Japanese B type which occurred in 1934-1935. There are also a short discussion of encephalitis caused in man by the viruses of Eastern and Western equine encephalomyelitis and discussions of other types of encephalitis, such as the postvaccinal and the hemorrhagic form.More than half the volume is devoted to the bibliography of encephalitis and allied diseases from 1930 to 1937. The publication contains the most exhaustive study and the most complete bibliography of encephalitis to be found in any language.
