AB The rarity of a large hemorrhage with ulcerative gastroenteritis accompanying pneumonia in a child warrants the following case report.REPORT OF A CASE 
    T. H., a white boy aged 12 years, was admitted to the pediatric service of the Memorial Hospital on Oct. 14, 1938, because of vomiting and passing of blood.The mother stated that the onset of the infection occurred five days previous to the time of admission, when the patient had a cold with some general discomfort. On the next day he had a severe headache and a temperature of 102.2 F. He was constipated, had severe epigastric pain and began to vomit all his food. On the next day the temperature rose to 103 F. It remained at that level until his admission to the hospital.The family physician gave the patient mild mercurous chloride on the third day of the illness, and the boy began
