AB This book, edited by Abraham Levinson, is the second yearly volume to appear. In the foreword it is stated: "Medical Leaves is dedicated to a study of Jewish medical history and contemporary Jewish medical problems. The achievements of Jewish physicians throughout the ages, the health status of the Jew in the past and in the present, the medical problems of Jews in various countries—all enter into the scope of this volume." This will give an idea of the contents. The topics discussed are by no means purely medical, though many have a distinct bearing on medicine. This is an interesting, well printed and well illustrated volume containing much of interest to the physician.
