AB The author presents all the principal data available on acute erythremic myelosis, which was first described as a clinical entity by di Guglielmo. A brief history and the nomenclature of the disease are given. The clinical picture is described in detail as to the various organs of the body which are involved. Several chapters are devoted to the blood picture, which is an important phase of the subject. The pathologic picture is also presented. The variations of the disease and its relation to other disturbances of the blood are considered. The etiology and therapy are discussed. The author has added several chapters concerning his research work. The bibliography presents abstracts of 29 case reports with their references. The bibliography contains six pages of additional references. The book will be of greatest interest to those who are studying disturbances of the blood.
