The Color Atlas of Pediatric Rheumatology is written by established pediatric rheumatologists with outstanding clinical reputations. The book includes short overviews about each of the pediatric rheumatic diseases (easily seen in blue boxes) and extensive plates, including photographs, radiographs, pathology sections, and figures. Each plate is accompanied by well-written text describing the clinical scenario and findings. All of the common pediatric rheumatic diseases are described; in most cases, a broad spectrum of each disease is shown, which includes common and unusual manifestations. Almost 150 plates and 50 pages are devoted to the differential diagnosis of childhood rheumatic disorders.
Little in this book can be criticized. It is even available in hardcover and softcover. A note of caution is required about the disease overviews in the blue boxes.
