Art File and Reference Manager are software programs designed to manage literature references. Both programs are designed for IBM and IBM-compatible computers. Art File demands at least 128 kb of random-access memory, though more is desirable. The program may be run either on a floppy disk or a hard disk. The number of articles maintained by Art File is limited only by disk space. Approximately 1800 articles may be filed on a 360-kb floppy disk. Art File is easy to use because it is entirely menu driven. The program can accept and search for up to 12 authors per article and/or 12 key words per article. Users can define their own key words to characterize articles; these key words are maintained in a separate file. A separate author file is also maintained.
