Peggy is a tireless worker for AJDC, which makes her commentary all the more significant. She received her education at the University of Oregon, Portland, completed her internship at Minneapolis General Hospital and her residency back in Portland, and finished her training with a special fellowship in pediatric neurology at Columbia/Presbyterian Medical Center (Neurological Institute and Babies Hospital) in New York. She joined the faculty at the University of Oregon and remained there for nine years, after which she became head of the Division of Child Development at Vanderbilt University in Nashville. She became Professor of Pediatrics and Chief of the Section of Pediatric Neurology at the University of Arizona, Tucson, in 1979, which is her current position.
