ABSTRACT

In Reply.—Dr Mirro takes me to task for using an editorial as "advertisement" for the system that provides AJDC on line. In fact, AJDC is on line on several systems. What my editorial did was to announce and detail the system adopted by the American Medical Association (AMA) that features all the specialty journals and JAMA, which are published by the AMA. If that is construed as an "advertisement" for the Mead Data Central system, such an inference must come from the reader's viewpoint. All the specialty journals have either published such information or are planning to do so in the interest of informing their readers of the AMA-endorsed and -sponsored system, which provides the full text of their journals. Those readers interested in the full range of vendors of electronically accessed journals can consult the reference cited by Dr Mirro or use other sources to make their individual
