This infant boy (birth weight, 4.2 kg) was the product of a normal labor and delivery. The pregnancy had been complicated by first trimester hemorrhagic spotting. The mother (gravida 3, para 2, abortus 1) had taken liotrix (Euthroid-½) daily throughout the pregnancy for hypothyroidism diagnosed two years earlier. At age 3 days, the baby was
