This book is an encompassing presentation of the clinical and especially the radiological manifestations of 541 syndromes in short and concise form. An indexed alphabetical list of syndromes and their synonyms in the beginning of the book is complemented by a "gamut index" at the end of the book. Where applicable, each syndrome description repeats the synonyms. Mode of inheritance, pathology, pathogenesis, pathophysiology, etiologic factors, and definitions are randomly included. Each syndrome description is followed by a listing of pertinent references. Each syndrome is numbered, but this serves no special function for the use of the book, nor is there an implied meaning to the numbers. There are 220 photographs in the book, depicting some of the radiological manifestations of the 541 syndromes. These photographs are highly representative and of good quality.
