Principles of Immunology FREE

This is a basic textbook of immunology written for students of medicine and other health sciences by a group of immunologists affiliated with the Center for Immunology at Buffalo (NY). The majority of contributors have had extensive experience in the field and write with authority. While most of the authors are in basic science departments, many of the chapters provide a clinical orientation that makes this a worthwhile text for pediatricians who wish to be informed about the current concepts in immunology. The first half of the book covers the usual subject matter in basic immunology but also includes chapters on radioisotopes, immunofluorescence, and immune complex diseases that are particularly pertinent to clinicians. The remainder of the volume is devoted to the clinical aspects of immunology, such as autoimmunity; the immunology of bacterial, mycotic, viral, and parasitic diseases; immune suppression; transplantation; and tumor immunity. Each of the chapters contains a
