Postgraduate Educational Program.—The Department of Pediatrics, Long Island Jewish-Hillside Medical Center and the Health Sciences Center of the State University of New York at Stony Brook present the third annual Spring Pediatric Postgraduate Educational program. Meetings will be held Wednesday evenings, March 6, 13, 20, and 27 from 8 to 10 pm in the Teaching Center of the hospital.
Topics to be covered include the pediatrician's role in school failure, developmental respiratory distress syndrome, adolescent sexuality, and interpreting psychological testing for the pediatrician.
Long Island Jewish-Hillside Medical Center faculty will include Philip Lanzkowsky, MD, chairman, Department of Pediatrics; I. Ronald Shenker, MD, physician-in-charge, Adolescent Services; Marvin Klein, MD, coordinator, Pediatric Neurological Services; Philip Lipsitz, MD, director of pediatrics, South Shore Division; David McWhirter, MD, director of training, Human Sexuality Center; and Marsha Sonnenblick, MS, staff psychologist.
The program, open to pediatricians and general practitioners, is acceptable for eight
