To the Editor.—In response to Dr. Grose's letter, there are several unanswerable questions.
Certainly the comments concerning the validity of the mononucleosis spot test cannot be refuted.
The rubella antibody titers are not available on this child.
The dates of the sera specimens were (a) acute, 20 days after vaccination and (b) convalescent, 51 days after vaccination.
Finally, there is a contradiction in the conclusion of the paper, and it should read "there are no reported cases of the Guillain-Barré syndrome, following mumps vaccination."
