Cardiac Tamponade as an Initial Finding in Systemic Lupus Erythematosus FREE

A 15-year-old girl with systemic lupus erythematosus initially had massive pericardial effusion and cardiac tamponade. Pericardiocentesis was used to relieve her short-term symptoms. Systemic treatment with corticosteroids followed, and the patient has been symptom-free for six months.
