The author presents a very detailed description of each common radiological procedure to be used in the practice of pediatric radiology.
The work is divided into five chapters. The first two are directed to a very detailed and excellent description of the equipment, its application, and radiation protection. Chapters three and four deal with radiographic procedures in infants and children. Chapter five is dedicated to the growing field of special procedures.
The book is very well organized, reads easily, and provides a large number of excellent and extremely helpful illustrations. The technical factors are minutely described and most of the commonly used projections are properly illustrated.
The most important criticism which can be leveled about this otherwise excellent book is the absence of information regarding some of the pediatric fluoroscopy techniques which very often differ from those used in adult radiology; the tendency of the author to suggest too many
