Proceedings of the International Conference of Leukemia-Lymphoma.

It is difficult to review a publication resulting from a compilation of the proceedings of a conference or symposium. The papers contained in the publication are variable in quality and in intent. Some papers are written as reviews of a subject while others are presenting new material. Unfortunately, new material resulting from the authors' research efforts is published in such a volume without prior critical appraisal of an editorial board, as would be the case if the material had been submitted to a journal. Therefore, the reader must himself carefully exercise his critical capacities on such a volume.

This publication is such a compilation of papers which were presented at a conference as part of the celebration of the University of Michigan sesquicentennial.
