North Pacific Pediatric Meeting.—The 97th meeting of the North Pacific Pediatric Society will be held in Victoria, British Columbia, from Sept 14 through 17, 1968. The meeting will be held at the Empress Hotel and will feature half-day sessions devoted to the theme "Pediatric Medical Aspects of Pediatric Surgery."
Featured guests at this meeting will be Dr. B. J. Waterston, of Great Ormond Street Hospital, London, and Dr. Harvey Beardmore, of the Montreal Children's Hospital.
Traineeship Announced.—The Laboratory of Infectious Diseases of the Department of Pediatrics at the Georgetown University Medical Center is offering a two- to three-year research traineeship starting July 1, 1968, for those who have completed internship or residency or both and who wish to pursue a career in academic pediatrics.
