This book, as indicated on the dust cover, is primarily designed by the author as a readable explanation for the asthmatic patient or his parents, and as such, it deserves attention by physicians and others who are involved in the treatment of chronic asthma. The idea of having such a book available in an asthma clinic is certainly very appealing to me, since one of the primary responsibilities of a physician treating chronic diseases is to educate the patient or the parents of the patient involved.
This book is written in a very matter-of-fact, easygoing style, and as such is very readable for the physician and for lay people.
