Completeness, orderliness of presentation, and clarity of writing distinguish this fine new textbook of neuroradiology by Drs. Taveras and Wood. These virtues commend it to many physicians other than the neurologists, neurosurgeons, and radiologists to whom it is primarily addressed. For example, the pediatrician will look far to find more lucid discussions of hydrocephalus, subdural hematoma, and many other subjects germane to his speciality.
The book includes comprehensive sections on plain film diagnosis of the skull, intracranial pneumography, angiography, head injuries, and diseases of the spinal cord. Detailed instructions for performing and interpreting the special procedures are supplemented by a discussion of which procedures are likely to be of greatest value in specific clinical situations.
The illustrative roentgenograms are well selected and superbly reproduced. Unlabeled arrows designate the salient features on many of these roentgenograms. While this method of labeling is generally satisfactory, a few of the illustrations are marked
