We are glad to see someone rise to the bait. Since we are more familiar with humans than hamsters, we put tongue in cheek and allowed the investigator's points of similarity between her experimental hamsters and mongoloids to stand. As we tried to point out, the interest for pediatricians here was the fact that the investigator could, with foreign biologic material, reproducibly distort the genetic information which causes the normal hamster baby to grow to a normal hamster adult.
