ABSTRACT

Because of a transposition of a line of type on page 402 of the September issue, the last paragraph of the article, "Leiomyosarcoma of the Stomach" by E. Omer Burgert, Jr., M.D., John M. Waugh, M.D., and Malcolm B. Dockerty, M.D., the meaning is obsure. The corrected paragraph is given below.

Early manifestation of bleeding in leiomyosarcoma results in recognition and removal at a time when metastasis is minimal or lacking. Thus, a much better prognosis may be given for leiomyosarcoma than for any other malignant tumor of the stomach.
