ABSTRACT

ANNOUNCEMENT  Traineeships at U.C.L.A.—The Department of Pediatrics, University of California at Los Angeles, announces the establishment of a training program in academic pediatrics, to include growth and development, genetics, infectious disease, metabolism, endocrinology, cardiology, hematology, and neurology. This will be offered in cooperation with other clinical and preclinical departments of the U.C.L.A. School of Medicine, for persons interested in careers in this area. This interdisciplinary 2-year program encompasses training in research, teaching, and advanced clinical work. The traineeships will vary in content, depending upon the candidate's interests, previous training, and research experiences. Trainees will also be offered special courses in the basic sciences; supervised teaching opportunities; instruction in medical writing; and experience in a wide variety of laboratory techniques.FACILITIES: The Department of Pediatrics is part of a combined University Medical School and hospital unit.
