From the preface one would gather that this book is directed primarily to college students, teachers, and parents. Reading on, one detects a "Jack Armstrong quality" in that it is seen as appealing to these and other groups and performing well with all. Being a fourth edition, it must have had a reasonably widespread acceptance in the past. This reviewer predicts continued and deserved acceptance in the future.
