Changes on the Academic Scene.—Dr. Edward C. Curnen, formerly Professor of Pediatrics and Head, Department of Pediatrics, University of North Carolina School of Medicine, and Director of Pediatric Service, North Carolina Memorial Hospital, moved July 1, 1960, to fill the positions vacated by Dr. Rustin McIntosh upon his retirement. Dr. Curnen will be Carpentier Professor of Pediatrics, College of Physicians and Surgeons, Columbia University, and Director of Pediatric Service, Babies Hospital, Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center, New York.Wyeth Pediatric Fellowships Awarded to 20 Physicians.—As announced today by Dr. Philip S. Barba, past president of the American Academy of Pediatrics and chairman of the fellowship selection committee, the recipients of the 1960 Wyeth Laboratories pediatric residency fellowships include: Drs.
