This comprehensive textbook on pediatric surgery is the result of and contains material derived from very productive teamwork at the famous Pediatric Clinic in Zurich, Switzerland. For more than eighty years, this institution has had its own surgical department, in which the author has been active for more than twenty-five years.
The book gives symptomatology, differential diagnosis, and treatment of surgical, neurosurgical, urological, and orthopedic diseases in childhood in an incomparable manner. It lists and evaluates the traditional as well as the most modern concepts of pediatric surgery, incorporating recent Anglo-American literature. Regrettably, however, no list of references is added, although names of authors are given.
