ABSTRACT

As the title implies, this is a book for parents. The eminence of the author in the pediatric world is a guarantee of a superior product. Simplicity and forthrightness characterize the presentation of material. Excess wordage and dogmatic viewpoints are avoided. Facts consistent with modern concepts of child raising are set forth in a manner easy for the parent to grasp, and numerous subheadings permit ready location of desired items of specific information. A generous supply of appropriate illustrations enhances the over-all readability of the book. It deserves a rating of excellent, and physicians can recommend it to their patients confident that the information obtained from it will be accurate, helpful, and up to date.
