ABSTRACT

This is a volume in which a discussion of child behavior is presented primarily for the use of parents and which is available in most bookstores. The book is divided into two parts; the first, a presentation of the usual pattern of development of children, followed by a discussion of some of the variations which occur. In the second part there is a more detailed discussion of behavioral patterns and the difficulties that arise in relation to development. Throughout there is great emphasis on the dynamic aspects of behavior and the fact that many problems will be solved when the child passes to the next "age and stage"; perhaps its chief message to the concerned parent, then, is one of advising patients to wait for time to take care of the situation.
