GENERAL NEWS
University of Minnesota Inpatient Psychiatric Service.—In October, an inpatient psychiatric service for children was opened at the University of Minnesota Medical School and Hospitals. This new unit will materially strengthen the over-all child psychiatry program of teaching, research, and service which has been in operation since 1938. Expansion of the program was made possible by a legislative appropriation which also provided for increased staff and stipends for training in child psychiatry. A position as instructor is available for a qualified physician desiring an academic career. Those interested should contact Reynold A. Jensen, M.D., University of Minnesota Hospitals, Minneapolis.
