In November, 1949, the Josiah Macy, Jr., Foundation brought together for a two-day conference on the adrenal cortex a group of outstanding investigators from various branches of science. This volume is a verbatim record of their informal discussions as they explored the physiological and biochemical alterations associated with the administration of adrenal cortical hormones in an effort to determine their value.
