In spite of the fact that the first edition of "Penicillin Therapy," by Dr. Kolmer, was published in 1945, because of the demand for such a text and the rapid progress in antibiotic therapy, it has been necessary for the author to revise the book. This second edition has been enlarged considerably and includes much new material and many additional illustrations. There are new chapters on the properties, administration and clinical application of the newer antibiotics, such as streptomycin, tyrothricin and streptothricin. A new chapter on antibiotic therapy and its relation to veterinary medicine will make this book a valuable tool for those interested in veterinary medicine.
