ABSTRACT

GENERAL  Medal Presented to Dr. Schick.—Dr. Bela Schick was given a gold medal by the New York Academy of Medicine on Thursday, March 3, the twenty-fifth anniversary of the publication of his work on immunization of diphtheria. The medal was presented by Dr. James Alexander Miller, president of the academy.American Board of Pediatrics.—Examinations will be held by the American Board of Pediatrics in Detroit, at the time of the meeting of Region III of the American Academy of Pediatrics, October 27, 28 and 29 (definite date not set); in Rochester, N. Y., at the time of the meeting of Region I of the American Academy of Pediatrics, November 11 and 12 (definite date not set), and in Oklahoma City on Nov. 15, 1938, preceding the joint meeting of Region II of the American Academy of Pediatrics with the Southern Medical Association.
