ABSTRACT

This work directs the physician's attention to the feet of children and adults, emphasizing the importance of treating the whole patient and not merely the condition of the feet.

The author traces the formation of flatfoot from its origin in childhood to the vicious circle present in the adult, outlining the steps necessary in prevention and cure once the condition is established. The scope of the work ends where orthopedic intervention is indicated. Exercises are given.
