Dr. W. H. Park, Director of Laboratories, New York City Department of Health, has been appointed the first Hermann M. Biggs professor of preventive medicine in New York University and Bellevue Hospital.

Bequests and Donations.—The Home for Destitute Crippled Children, Chicago, received $20,000, and the Illinois Children's Home and Aid Society $10,000, under the will of Donald M. Ryerson.The Home for Destitute Crippled Children and the Illinois Society for Prevention of Blindness, both of Chicago, were each given $2,000 by the will of the late John Crerar.The Children's Orthopedic Hospital, Seattle, was bequeathed $5,000 under the will of Mrs. Minnie W. Schalkenbach.The Baby's Hospital of the City of New York and the Hebrew Orphan Asylum of New York each received $9,000 by the will of Mrs. Carrie Guggenheim.Bequests.—Children's Mercy Hospital, Kansas City, Mo., received about $25,000 by the will of Mrs.
