This book was published by the society for the prevention of malaria. It gives first the prevalence of malaria in Africa and India, both in children and in expectant mothers. Prophylaxis and treatment are then discussed. Quinine, 5 mg. per hundred cubic centimeters, is advised for nursing mothers, as it is excreted in breast milk. Prophylaxis is best carried on by school propaganda. There are some interesting pictures of school children receiving quinine in Algeria. The book is interesting and contains a good bibliography on malarial therapy.
