Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, Nashville, Tenn., announces the appointment of Dr. Samuel M. Bloomstein as associate professor of clinical pediatrics.Dr. Rustin McIntosh of the Johns Hopkins Hospital has been appointed professor of diseases of children at Columbia University.

Dr. Juan Orrico, Director of the Pediatric Clinic at the University of Cordova, Argentine, died on May 29, at the age of 53.

Fellowships in Extramural Psychiatry Announced by National Committee for Mental Hygiene.—The fellowships are open to physicians who are under 35 years of age and graduates of class A medical schools, and who have had at least one year of training in a hospital for mental disease maintaining satisfactory standards of clinical work and instruction.
